JAMISON SMELTZ
The brainchild of DANNY SHORAGO, The Fuxedos never sacrifices musicality in its pursuit of truth through absurdity. Backed by a crack band (as opposed to a band on crack), Danny recognizes no barriers between his id and the audience. His performances are spot-on and scary and hilarious and earnest as fuck and you expect he'll actually explode at any time.

Danny and I first met in the 60's-themed Casino Royale, playing vanilla hits from an innocent time. The Fuxedos is as far from that as one can possibly get. The first time I played live with them I was laughing so hard I couldn't play. No lie.
After moving to Los Angeles, Danny formed another version of the band. But us Bay Area originals (Matt Lebofsky, gtr and keys; Wes Anderson, drums; Alex DeSoria, ex-bass 'cause he moved back to France; Steve Lew, bass) know that we're the OGs in this snap.
Hats off to Danny's LA drum-man Ryan Brown on his new addition to Dweezil Zappa's snap ZPZ. Helluva sweet cat to boot!
